The director general of the National Road Safety Authority, Abraham Amaliba has disclosed that they wouldn’t be like the dog that returns to its vomit.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, April 9, the director general revealed that they are not pleased with the reaction from Ghanaians following their decision to ban the use of Voxy for commercial purposes.

Mr. Abraham believes that the people who spoke ill of the decision are the same ones who are fond of doing so; hence, they will not rescind their decision.

He shared that “The people who are against it are those who are doing the wrong things. Those whose families have died as a result of the carnage on the roads will not be supporting them. We are not to please them”.

He went on to note that the decision is to help ensure that road accidents, if not completely dealt with, could be mitigated since road accidents in the country continue to escalate to an extremely worrisome level.

“So we are not bothered about anybody who thinks that regulations should not be implemented. We are a lawless country. We are so lawless that even if regulations are coming, we seem to be kicking against them them”.

He stated emphatically that, i gave been sent to do what is right, and I am going to do it as it is. I am not going to listen to people who are wrongdoers”.
