A Ugandan woman has been sentenced to six years in prison after rejecting a marriage proposal from a businessman who reportedly sponsored her education for years.
A young Ugandan woman by name Fortunate Kyarikunda has been SENTENCED TO 6 Years in prison for refusing to marry a buisness man that sponsored her in school since 2015 .
They started dating in 2015 , in 2018 they had an agreement that they’ll marry and the man decided to sponsor everything about her. In 2026 the woman SAID NO to his proposal and the man took the matter to Court.
After presenting evidence beyond reasonable doubt, the Rukungiri District court found the young woman guilty and sentenced her to 6 YEARS IN PRISON.
Evidence showed that the man has been taking care of her for 11 years till she graduated.
